Light As A Feather

ABOUT

Move with strength, grace, and precision in this 2-hour masterclass designed to refine your practice and elevate your body awareness. This is an exploration of floating transitions where we learn how to lift, hover, and land softly with control.
Through intelligent sequencing, focused drills, and strength-based movement, we’ll break down the mechanics of weightlessness, uncovering the balance between effort and ease. Expect to build stability, refine your transitions, and develop a heightened sense of proprioception that will transform the way you move on your mat.
Whether you're working toward effortless arm balances, refining your vinyasa, or simply seeking more lightness in your practice, this workshop will leave you feeling empowered, strong, and deeply connected to your movement.

Architecture of Arm Balancing

ABOUT

Arm balances can often seem elusive, but with the right framework, they become accessible, empowering, and even playful. In this 2.5-hour workshop, we’ll break down the key elements that support safe and sustainable arm balancing: mobility, strength, and technique.
We will explore how your body moves and stabilises and develop technical insight into the alignment and mechanics that underpin a range of arm balancing postures.
Expect a blend of dynamic movement, focused drills, and practical theory, all designed to help you approach arm balances with greater clarity and confidence. Open to all levels of students and teachers.

Meet Adam Whiting

The thread running through my life has always been a deep desire to share, celebrate, and explore the beauty of the human experience. My journey began with music—listening to my mother’s records, dreaming of writing songs that could bypass the mind and speak directly to the heart. I picked up the guitar at twelve, eventually earning a Bachelor of Music in guitar performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. That passion followed me to New York City, where I wrote poetry, collaborated with incredible musicians, and soaked in the energy of the streets. But amid the noise, I also found myself lost—working odd jobs, battling panic attacks and depression—until I discovered a quiet refuge on a yoga mat.
Yoga became the scalpel that helped me peel back layers of anxiety and disconnection, revealing a place of stillness, purpose, and clarity within. I began studying with local teachers, which led me to their mentors and deeper into the lineage of yoga. My path has been shaped by incredible teachers including Rod Stryker, Tracee Stanley, Maty Ezraty, Annie Carpenter, Jason Crandell, Tiffany Cruikshank, and Dice Iida-Klein. I've studied anatomy with Tom Myers, philosophy with Carlos Pomeda, and meditation with Jonni Pollard. For over a decade, I’ve shared the teachings I’ve received across the U.S., Asia, and Australia—always with the hope of offering others the same connection and transformation yoga gave to me.
